Speaking at CFCamp 2018 – AWS Elastic Container Service
I’ll be speaking at CFCamp in Munich, Germany on Thursday 8th November 2018, about the Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS).
In the session, I will introduce the Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS) and its associated services and how it all slots together to give you a world-class platform for continuous integration (CI) and deployment.
Amazon ECS is a high-performance and highly scalable container orchestration service for Docker containers and allows you to run and scale containerized applications on the AWS platform. It eliminates the need for you to install and operate your own container orchestration software, manage and scale a cluster of virtual machines, or schedule containers on those virtual machines.
When used in conjunction with other AWS services you can create an automated CI and deployment system allowing you to build, test and deploy code without any manual intervention required.
In the session you will learn about:
- Elastic Container Service (ECS)
- CodePipeline
- CodeCommit
- CodeBuild
- Secrets Manager
- Application Load Balancer
- Certificate Manager
The session will not be an introduction to AWS or Docker and some previous basic knowledge of both will be assumed, e.g. what AWS is, what an EC2 instance is, what Docker is, etc…
I’ll be posting an updated once the talk is over with the slides, example code, etc….
